The first formal meeting of the newly created Gamma Mu Tau (GMT) Board of Trustees was held on January 10th, 2021. There are several reasons why both GMT and the local chapters felt this change was needed. For one, it brought our house corporation more in line with benchmark house corporations within Delta Tau Dela fraternity. More importantly, it established accountability for the GMT president, and strengtened GMT’s ability to weather storms such as an absentee president or a failing local chapter. Looking forward, the structure will also help establish better ties to alumni who have the skills and resources needed by the house corporation. The Board of Trustees is currently made up of five alumnni and four undergraduate members who are dedicated to working for the benefit of the fraternity.
