After more than eight years of dedicated service, Jake Jenson has decided to step down as GMT President at the end of this year. Jake got us through some rough spots with the house corporation, and we can’t thank him enough for his dedication and service to his brothers of Delta Tau Delta!
We are actively looking for a Delt alumnus interested in joining the GMT leadership team. The position that is open is actually somewhat flexible based on the skills and interests of the prospective candidate. Aaron Wagner, who has been our Secretary/Treasurer for the past several years, is open to either continuing in that role or becoming President. Either way, the new officer will work with Aaron, the GMT Trustees, and the other officers to ensure a smooth operation.
I often think back to the great times I had living at the shelter. I got involved in GMT because I wanted to give something back, but honestly I have received as much as I have given. Being a Delt is not just four or five years at college. It’s a lifelong brotherhood, and GMT has given me the opportunity to rekindle old bonds as well as make some new ones.
If you’re interested in learning more about the position, as a first step just contact Jake or myself. There’s no obligation.
