In a previous note I mentioned our primary direction is to remodel the shelter as opposed to moving. This is still our direction. However there have been some recent developments. Kettering is getting more serious about their “Greek Village” concept, and other fraternities on Dupont street are seriously considering it. Trustee Jaffke and I recently met with Kettering administration, and we are now closely connected with the Phi Delts and FIJI house corps. This is an important decision, and we must make the best decision for our chapter. We will continue to evaluate options… and course-correct if and when it makes sense. What do you think? We welcome your feedback. I will tee up this topic in our Facebook groups.
On a related note, as many of you know, Gamma Mu Tau has hired Pennington & Co. to perform a fundraising feasibility study. This is not fundraising itself, but rather a study to see if we have the essential elements in place for a successful fundraising campaign. Pennington has interviewed a number of our alumni, and this will continue into the New Year. If you already provide feedback, thank you! If you are asked to participate in an interview or online survey, please be supportive. Like I said, you will not be asked to donate or commit to anything at this time. This is more about gauging sentiments and getting feedback on our shelter strategy. We value your input. If you haven’t heard from us and want to provide feedback, feel free to reach out to myself or Matt Killingsworth at Pennington (mkillingsworth@penningtonco.com).
FINALLY, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The biggest challenge we have faced with this initiative is the lack of good contact information. If you are reading this, that probably means we have your contact info, but many of our alumni brothers are lost. Please do us a favor, look in your email for the newsletter version of this note. It contains the names of lost brothers. If you know anyone on that list, please reach out and ask them to join our newsletter by visiting http://www.kudelts.org/staying-connected. The page also shows other ways to stay connected including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and how to update the Delt National database.
