Recruitment during the Fall brought new challenges that nobody had seen before. Some of the unique challenges we faced as a result of the pandemic were social distancing requirements, a ban on any indoor events and restrictions that did not even allow us to give house tours to potential new members. On top of these new rules, we also had less time to devote because we were going through pledging and initiation at the same time as recruitment. Despite these obstacles, we used our creativity in order to fulfill our obligation of recruitment. We created events which we had never done before and altered some of our favorite events in order to do them outdoors. We also created a video to introduce our fraternity and show off some of the favorite areas in the house. Unfortunately, any face to face recruitment was put to a sharp halt about halfway through our recruitment period due to the discovery of positive COVID results. Despite all of these challenges, we are excited to say that we have 10 young men that have accepted bids to join the Delts!
